Bethlehem Commencement Date: Thursday, May 23 , 2024

Important Information for Bethlehem Graduates

 

Rehearsal & Breakfast:

  • Rehearsal will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 23 in the Student Life Zone (Bethlehem Campus).  We strongly encourage all graduates participating in the Commencement Ceremony to attend rehearsal. Upon arrival, please visit the check-in table to pick-up your reader card.
  • A complimentary breakfast to honor our graduates will start at 9:00 am in the Food Court.

 

Caps & Gowns:

  • Caps and gowns will be available for pick up at the Bookstore at the Bethlehem Campus beginning Monday, May 20 through Thursday, May 23 from 9am to 5pm.
  • Please be advised the gowns are packaged and the fabric will crease. We recommend pick-up in advance of the ceremony to allow time to a hang or steam the garment.
  • The cap and gown are yours as a keepsake of this milestone.  

 

Tickets:

  • You will receive four tickets for your family and friends to attend the ceremony when you pick up your cap and gown. Please note: Your guests (anyone three years old or older) must have a ticket to enter the Spartan Center. Please notify your guests that the procession starts at 6:15 pm and the doors of the gym will close at that time. For non-ticket holders, the ceremony will be streamed live in the Lipkin Theatre and the Student Life Zone in College Center. Family members not able to attend, the Commencement may visit the 2024 Commencement section of Northampton's web site at northampton.edu/commencement. The live feed video will begin 30 minutes prior to the ceremony and continue through the ceremony.

 

Schedule for the evening of May 23:

  • 5:30 pm graduates arrive and robe in the Student Life Zone in the College Center;
  • 6:00 pm the Line of March forms;
  • 6:15 pm the Processional begins;
  • 6:30 pm Commencement Ceremony begins.(The ceremony runs approximately 2 hours). 

 

Diplomas:

  • Your diploma will be mailed to the address we have on record in Workday following the end of the spring semester.
  • Diplomas should arrive by the middle of June. An e-mail with a link to download your e-diploma through Parchment.com will also be sent to your student email starting on May 23.

 

Photos:

  • A professional photographer will take your photo as you shake the president’s hand and after you walk off the stage.
  • Enter your current contact information and take a selfie to enable facial recognition if you'd like access to all photos taken of you at the ceremony.

 

Reception:

  • A reception for graduates and their families and friends will be held immediately following the ceremony in the outside quad area between College Center and Kopecek Hall. In the event of rain, the reception will be held in Laub Lounge, second floor of College Center.

Pocono Commencement Date: Tuesday, May 21, 2024

Important Information for Pocono Graduates

Rehearsal & Refreshments:

  • Rehearsal will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, May 20, 2024 in the Pocono Hall Gymnasium (Pocono Campus).  We strongly encourage all graduates participating in the Commencement Ceremony to attend rehearsal. Upon arrival, please visit the check-in table to pick-up your reader card.
  • Complimentary refreshments to honor our graduates will start at 5:30 pm in the Food Court.

 

Caps & Gowns:

  • Caps and gowns will be available for pick up at the Bookstore on the Pocono Campus on the following days and times.
Wednesday, May 15, 2024  9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Thursday, May 16, 2024 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Monday, May 20, 2024  9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Rehearsal is at 6:30 pm)
Tuesday, May 21, 2024 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Commencement begins at 6:30 pm)
