Children's Centers

NCC Reibman Hall Children Center is located on the college's Bethlehem campus and accepts children 6 weeks to kindergarten entry. NCC Hanning Children Center is located on the college's Pocono campus and accepts children 2 years to kindergarten entry. Both centers are staffed by qualified teachers employed by the college. The centers offer full and part time care and education on a full year basis to children of NCC students, staff and the community. Our arts-based emergent curriculum is implemented in the centers' universally designed for learning classrooms (UDL).

We nurture and educate each child, regardless of race, gender, ability, ethnicity, socio-economic standing, or religion. We believe that every child who enters our center is unique and competent and that the strong foundation laid here will support and create eager, lifelong learners.

Northampton's Children's Centers are licensed by the Department of Human Services (DHS) and are rated four-star facilities through the state of Pennsylvania's Keystone STARS program and also are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Support for Parenting Students

Northampton Community College is expanding support for parenting students through the Pennsylvania Department of Education's PA Parent Pathways Initiative. The program is designed to help parenting students overcome barriers to completion through personalized support, child care assistance, and emergency funding.

Parent Navigator

Parenting students can connect with NCC's Parent Navigator for individualized guidance, resource referrals, and support throughout their educational journey. The Parent Navigator helps students access academic, career, family, and community resources and can assist with identifying eligibility for child care scholarships and emergency aid.

Child Care Assistance Scholarships

Eligible parenting students may qualify for child care assistance scholarships at NCC's Children's Centers to help reduce child care costs while they pursue their educational goals.

Emergency Aid for Parenting Students

A dedicated emergency aid fund is available to help parenting students address unexpected financial challenges that could otherwise impact their ability to remain enrolled and complete their program.
