What You’ll Learn
Cultivate knowledge and skills to encourage and enforce workplace safety through the comprehensive study of human factors, regulatory awareness, hazardous materials, health hazards, ergonomics, accident prevention, and occupational risk management and control.Graduates of NCC’s online associate degree in occupational health and safety program:
- Develop and implement occupational safety and health programs and procedures within organizations to reduce or eliminate workplace exposures to risks and hazards.
- Conduct workplace inspections to identify and mitigate areas that are not in compliance with Federal or Commonwealth laws and regulations.
- Design and deliver occupational safety and health training programs.
- Advise senior leadership on methods to achieve higher worker productivity with reduced expenses and litigation, reduction of absenteeism and positive workforce morale through the implementation of cost-effective workplace safety programs.

These courses are also transferable to a four-year occupational safety and health program.
