NCC’s Dental Assisting certificate program features hands-on instruction and clinical observation to train participants for chairside dental assisting. Program instruction includes preparation of instruments, materials and equipment; assessment and education of clients; and preparing the client for his/her appointment. Join your colleagues to use discussion, problem-solving, and sharing of best practices to enhance radiographic techniques and the quality of your radiographic/digital images and to ensure diagnostic films and client safety. Participants will self-identify concerns or areas where improvement is desired and cover a variety of topics designed to meet the continuing education (CE) radiology update requirements mandated by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for PA dental radiographers. Credits do count towards mandatory CE licensing requirements as well.
Practical Strategies for the Administration of Local Anesthesia for Dental Hygienists (3 CEUs)

This course is a focused, practical refresher designed to help hygienists strengthen their skills and confidence in administering local anesthesia. Emphasis is placed on real-world strategies that support improved technique, troubleshooting common challenges, and adapting anesthesia delivery for diverse patient populations. Participants will review anesthetic solutions, instruments, and injection techniques while reinforcing safe, effective, and patient-centered clinical decision-making. Completion of this course satisfies the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry requirement for three (3) hours of continuing education in local anesthesia administration.
