Job Shadow Opportunities for Employers
Northampton Community College’s Center for Career Development and Alumni Engagement is committed to helping students explore and experience careers firsthand. We’re excited to grow partnerships with local businesses to provide students with valuable exposure to new career paths and industries. One of the most impactful ways we do this is through experiential learning opportunities like job shadows.
A job shadow offers students the chance to explore a specific career by spending time in a real-world work environment. These experiences typically include a tour of your workplace, a discussion of job responsibilities and career path, and the opportunity to observe and experience a typical day on the job.
There are many employer benefits to hosting a job shadow day, including:
- Engage with Emerging Talent: Build your future workforce by connecting with motivated students.
- Build Meaningful Relationships: Form connections with exceptional, career-focused individuals.
- Preview Future Interns: Gain insight into potential candidates for internships or entry-level roles.
- Boost Brand Visibility: Increase awareness and strengthen your reputation among college students.
- Showcase Your Workplace: Highlight your team, culture, and facilities to inspire future employees.
